F-Class Fleet Destroyer built by J S White at Cowes under 1932 Programme and laid down on 15th May1933. The ship was launched on 28th June 1934 as the 10th RN warship to carry the name, previously used by a destroyer sold in 1921 and introduced in 1657, The ship was completed on 19th April 1935.
