The République was a pre-dreadnought battleship of the French Navy.

She was moored near the Liberté when the later exploded accidentally in 1911, and was damaged by flying debris.

Not postally used - but a message is written on the reverse. Perhaps posted in an envelope?

Malta 1919 is written in ink on the front of the postcard.
